Ballyhea Intermediate hurlers continued their good start to the year with a narrow victory over the home side in Athlacca on Friday night. Ballyhea had a goal in the 5th minute from Maurice O' Sullivan and points from Jonathon O' Sullivan, Darren Ronan, Ian Curtin and Niall Corcoran had us 1-4 to 0-3 ahead after 20 minutes. Athlacca finished the half well and it took a goal on the stroke of Half-Time from Ian Curtin to leave us two points in front 2-6 to 1-7 at the break. It was a very scrappy second half and it took us 13 minutes to get our next point from Maurice O' Sullivan, however Dromin/Athlacca were finding it just as difficult to score at the other end, and though they reduced the margin to the minimum on a few occasions, Ballyhea always led and late points from Jonathon O' Sullivan and Darren Ronan sealed a 3 point win.
