Ballyhea ended the Liam Breathnach Cup with a fine 6 point victory over Blarney at Buttevant on Sunday. Ballyhea started brilliantly and raced into a 1-6 to 0-1 lead after 16 mins. The goal coming in the 9th min from the outstading Ian Ronan after a great pass from Gavin Morrissey. Further points from Neil and Ian Ronan and Barry Coleman had us 1-9 to 0-5 ahead at the break. Ballyhea remained in control in the second half and only for erratic shooting would have been further ahead although David O' Riordan brought off a fine save midway through the second half. Our next competive action will be in the league campaign before our 1st of May date with Newcestown in the Premier Championship.
