North Cork Division 2 Junior Hurling League Round 1 LISCARROLL 1-8 BALLYHEA 1-9 (06/04/03) Played At | Liscarroll. The Juniors opened their league campaign with a narrow victory at sun drenced venue Liscarroll last Sunday afternoon. Ballyhea started well impressively with points from Danny O' Donoghue (3rd and 10th minutes), and a Johnny O' Sullivan point in the 9th minute to lead 0-3 to 0-1. Liscarroll goaled in the 18th minute but points from Johnny O' Flaherty in the 20th minute and Edmund O' Regan in the 26th minute left us trailing by 1 point at half-time 1-3 to 0-5. Conor Condon pointed early in the second half to draw level. Liscarroll took control again after this but a point from Johnny O' Sullivan followed by a well taken Conor Condon goal in the 43rd minute put Ballyhea 1 point ahead. With Eoin O' Keeffe, Tom Brassill, and Denis Mortell in great form, Ballyhea sealed victory with further points from Johnny O' Sullivan and Danny O' Donoghue. A great start to the season.
