The Junior "B's" great run ended in the semi-final last Wednesday night at Buttevant to neighbours Charleville. Played in damp conditions Ballyhea started well and points from Dave Ryan and Diarmuid O' Flynn had us 0-2 to 0-0 ahead after 5 mins. Charleville though gradually came into the game and led 0-6 to 0-3 at half-time. Charleville
maintained their lead in the second half but found it hard to break
through a resolute defence where Tim Dennehy and John Hennessy were in excellent form. The evergreen Connie Brassill had our 2 second half points.
Even though we were defeated our third string had a great campaign defeating Shanballymore after a replay and Kildorrery before Wednesday nights defeat.
