Cork County Under-21 "A" Hurling Championship 1/4 Final BALLYHEA 2-05 INNISCARRA 2-15 (09/10/05) Played At | Ballyhooly. Inniscarra were deserving winners over Ballyhea in the County u-21 Hurling Championship Quarter-Final at Ballyhooly on Saturday last. The winners took the lead early on with John Casey and Nicky O’Regan having points. By the eight minute, Nicky ORegan added another point for 0-3 to 0-0. Ballyhea opened their account in the 11th minute when a long delivery by Martin O'Keeffe to Maurice O ’Sullivan led to great goal by the latter to leave it at 0-3 to 1-0. Maurice O'Sullivan added a pointed free soon after. This was the only time the North Cork side led over the hour. Good defending by Inniscarra set up many attacks for the Mid Cork side who added to a goal in the 19th minute. Stephen O’Sullivan added a point for Ballyhea before Inniscarra finished the half well. On the resumption, Inniscarra edged further ahead with early points to make it 2-8 to 1-2. The winners continued to do well throughout. By the end of the third quarter both sides exchanged points for 2-11 to 1-4. Ballyhea tried very hard to get back on terms but were unable to breakdown a solid Inniscarra backline.
