North Cork U-21 "A" Championship 1/4 Final BALLYHEA 0-16 BUTTEVANT 2-8 (10/08/02) Played At | Milford. The u-21 hurlers finally ended the first round bogey with our first Championship victory at this grade in six years after an exciting encounter at Milford last Saturday night. This was always going to be a close game with very little between the sides all through. After 10 minutes the sides were level 0-3 each before Buttevant had a goal but Ballyhea replied with 3 points from Maurice O' Sullivan, Conor Condon, and Edmund O' Regan only for Buttevant to score their second goal in the 16th minute. Ballyhea though rallied back and with 3 points from Maurice O' Sullivan, were level on a scoreline of 0-10 to 2-4 at half-time. Played in wet conditions, Buttevant had two early second half points, before points from Jonathon O' Sullivan (3) and Brian O' Shaughnessy put Ballyhea 2 points clear. Buttevant came to within a point, but Tim Shanahan fired over again to give Ballyhea athe victory. Ballyhea now face Charleville in the Semi Final.
