Intermediate Liam Breathnach Cup Round 3 BLARNEY 3-13 BALLYHEA 2-9 (11/04/04) Played At | Blarney. Our hopes of advancing to the semi finals of the Breathnach Cup were dashed at Blarney when we were comprehensively defeated by an impressive home side. After a very sliggish start we trailed 1-6 to 0-2 after 15 mins. We were thrown a life line in the 21st min when a brilliant Maurice O' Sullivan run found Darran Ronan who goaled from close range. At half time we trailed 1-8 to 1-3. We came out all guns blazing in the second half but failed to convert numerous chances which we were left to rue when the home side goaled in the 37th and 45th mins. Ian Curtin goaled in the 58th min but at this stage Blarney were well on their way to victory.
