The Junior B Footballers opened their account with a hard earned victory over shanballymore at Buttevant last Sat night. We got off to a blistering start with a goal from a long range effort by Aidan Crowley. After 25 mins we led 1-9 to 0-2, but Shanballymore had a late goal and a point to trail 1-10 to 1-3 at the break.
Shanballymore were on top in the second half but failed to find a crucial second goal, and late points from Ian and Sean Curtin and 2 points from Ian Ronan sealed our victory.
