North Cork Under-21 "A" Hurling Championship 1/4 Final BALLYHEA 0-14 NEWTOWN 1-9 (12/08/05) Played At | Dromina. Ballyhea sent the holders crashing out of the Championship with this hard earned 2 point victory over Newtown at Dromina. Ballyhea were well on top in the first half but still only led by 5 points at half time 0-9 to 0-4. John O' Riordan worked tirelessly up front and Kevin Hanley with Michael Morrissey excelled in defence while Maurice O' Sullivan was a constant threat notching 7 points with 6 from frees. Newtown rallied back in the second half with a goal in the 41st minute to bring the score 0-10 to 1-6, but 4 pointed frees from Maurice O' Sullivan in the last 10 minutes steered Ballyhea to victory and revenge for last years defeat and last weeks Junior "B" final loss.
