The Juniors made their exit from the Championship last Saturday night in this second round tie at Liscarroll. Ballyhea started well and led for all of the opening half and at halftime were full value for their 3 point lead 0-7 to 0-4. Although Padraig Morrissey made an excellent point blank save in the 20th minute. The second half was a different story as Mallow got on top and were level by the 42nd minute
0-8 a piece. By the 57th minute Mallow led 0-13 to 0-8 then came a
Ballyhea revival with a Mick O' Mahoney point from a 21 yard free in the 60th minute followed by a brilliant goal from Liam O' Connor in 61st minute.
But time ran out and Mallow advance to a third round meeting with Fermoy.
