CORK COUNTY SENIOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP 2ND ROUND BALLYHEA 0-22 SEANDUN 2-11 (15/06/02) Played At | Buttevant. Our Senior Hurlers advanced to the third round of this years Championship with this 5 point victory over Seandun at an excellent Buttevant pitch on Saturday last. Early scores from Jonathon O' Sullivan and Barry Coleman settled Ballyhea but by the first Quarter we led by a solitary point, 0-5 to 0-4. Neil Ronan (3), Ian Curtin and Jonathon O' Sullivan had further points to put us 4 points clear at the break. Ballyhea continued to take the game to Seandun in the second half with great play from Eamon Morrissey, Barry Coleman, who had an outstanding game, and Timmy Shanahan, while Neil Ronan got some fine scores. Conor O' Riordan pointed in the 40th minute to put us 0-16 to 0-8 clear, but two goals from Seandun's Darren Lucey (frees) in the 41st and 43rd cut our lead but "Man Of The Match " Neil Ronan immediately replied with two points with 10 minutes remaining. Sean Curtin was getting in some great clearances. Ballyhea then had points from Neil Ronan, Aidan Crowley, Ian Ronan and Barry Coleman to secure victory.
