Ballyhea Junior "B" 's won the North Cork title last Friday for the first time since 2002 with a fine victory over Kilavullen at Buttevant. The sides were level at half time 0-8 to 1-5. Timmy Shanahan struck for a fine goal early in the second half and there was no looking back after this with some fine points by Christopher Hanley and Stephen O' Sullivan to seal a fine victory.

After the game Willie Mcauliffe presented the Mcauliffe hurleys sponsored cup to Paddy O' Connor the Ballyhea captain in the presence of North Cork Junior Board Vice Chairman Christy Morrissey.
