Ballyhea's third string advanced to the Semi-Final of the Junior B Hurling Championship with a courageous fight back to beat Kildorrery by 3 points at buttevant last Wednesday night. Exchanges were close in the first half with a goal in the 24th min helping Kildorrery to a 1-4 to 0-4 interval lead. Points from Diarmuid O' Flynn (2) and Dave Ryan had us level after 5 mins of the second half but another Kildorrery goal in the 36th min had them 3 points clear. Another goal in the 41st min put Kildorrery 3-5 to 0-8 ahead and it looked all over for the b's.
But subs Connie Brassill with points in the 49th and 55th mins and a goal from young John O' Riordan in the 53rd min put a point between the sides. Then with 2 mins to go Dave Nunan goaled to put Ballyhea ahead and in the final minute Pat Copse pointed to give Ballyhea a great victory and a place in the semi-finals versus Charleville.
