North Cork U-21 "A" Hurling Championship Semi-Final BALLYHEA 3-15 KILWORTH 3-9 (19/08/06) Played At | Kildorrery. Our U-21s advanced to the North Cork final after a thrilling hours hurling at Kildorrery tonite. Ballyhea opened brightly and 2 Stephen O' Sullivan points gave us an early lead. Maurice O' Sullivan struck for a fine goal in the 7th minute. Further points from Eoin and Maurice O' Sullivan stretched our lead before Maurice struck for another goal in the 18th minute to put us 3 goals clear 2-6 to 0-3. Kilworth to their credit struck back with a Paudie Lynch goal immediately and he struck for another one in the 26th minute to leave us leading 2-8 to 2-6 at the break. Both defences tighted up in the second half and when David O' Riordan pointed in the 45th minute our lead was 4 points 2-12 to 2-8. Maurice struck for his 3rd goal in the 59th minute although Kilworth went down and goaled at the other end again but points from Edmund Rea and Maurice O' Sullivan sealed a fine victory.
