2010 North Cork Junior "B" Hurling Championship 1/4 Final

The Juniors qualified for the North Cork Semi Final with this hard earned victory over Kilavullen at a very wet Doneraile. Having defeated the same opposition only 5 days previous by 10 points in the league semi final, there was a danger of complacency and this was evident in the opening quarter as Kilavullen raced into a 0-7 to 1-0 lead, Diarmuid O'Riordan was on the mark for Ballyhea. Gradually though we came back into the game with fine free taking from Johnny O'Flaherty and two opportunist goals from young John Morrissey to leave us 4 points clear at the break 3-3 to 0-8.

The second half was a dour struggle with Ballyhea stretching their lead to 6 with some well taken points, the highlight being a long range free from goalie Danny O'Donoghue. This victory maintains the lads unbeaten run and are now in the semi final of the championship and a league final also to come shortly.
