Ballyhea made it 3 wins out of 3 in this years league with a hard fought victory at Coachford. Playing against a strong wind in the first half Ballyhea led 1-6 to 0-5 with just 2 mins remaining after a fine goal by Ian Curtin. The home side rallied though scoring 1-4 before the break to lead 1-9 to 1-6.

The second period was played with Championship fervour. The sides were level entering the final quarter 2-11 each, Ballyhea's goal an oppotunist finish by Maurice O' Sullivan after Neil Ronan's long range effort for a point came back off the post. Ballyhea finished well with Diarmuid O' Riordan who had an excellent game pointing in the 51st min. The sides were still deadlocked with 6 mins left. Points though from Aidan Crowley (54), Ian Curtin (55), Maurice O' Sullivan (58) and a Neil Ronan free (59) earned Ballyhea 2 valuable league points.
