Munster Intermediate Hurling League Round 2

BALLYHEA 2-13 KILDIMO 3-10 (24/07/04)
Played At | Ballyhea.

The Intermediate hurlers needed a late comeback to force a draw on Saturday Night. This was a dissapointing result for the lads as we completely dominated the first half, with Maurice O' Sullivan again in fine form. Ballyhea led 1-10 to 1-3 after 29 minutes and should have been even further in front, having squandered some chances and being denied by good goalkeeping, but Kildimo were to score a second goal just on half time to reduce the gap to 4 points.

It was a total turnaround in the second half with Kildimo well on top and outscoring Ballyhea by 1-7 to 1-0 in the first 25 minutes. We scored a goal as a result of a fine effort by Maurice O' Sullivan. To the boys credit, they battled back with three late points to force a draw which was probably a fair result.

We have two league games left to play in our group, both away fixtures to Feenagh/Kilmeedy of Limerick and Burgess of Tipperary.
