Cork County Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship 3rd Round

BALLYHEA 1-13 BALLINCOLLIG 0-13
Played At | Ballyhooly (25/08/07)

The intermediates advanced to a quarter final meeting next Saturday night v Watergrasshill after this hard earned victory over a tough Ballincollig side at Ballyhooly last night. Ballyhea were well on top in the first half but just led 0-6 to 0-3 at half time. The second half was well contested and with 12 mins to go we trailed by 2 pts 0-11 to 0-9 but Ballyhea struck for a crucial goal when Maurice O' Sullivan set up Tim Shanahan for a fine goal. This spurred Ballyhea on and fine points from Neil Ronan sealed our spot in the 1/4 final. A special word for Aidan "Chuck" O' Connor who returned to Championship action after almost 5 years of a lay off and turned in a fine performance.
