The Juniors got back to winning ways last Wednesday night with this fine victory over neighbours Newtown at Dromina. Ballyhea started well and led 0-3 to 0-0 after 8 mins with points from Edmund O' Regan, Denis Gould and Johnny O' Flaherty. At half-time Ballyhea led 0-9 to 0-3 having played with the aid of the wind. Three early points in the second half from Edmund O' Regan, Brian O' Shaughnessy and Johnny O' Flaherty stretched Ballyhea's lead to 9 points. Newtown clawed their way back into the game with 6 points while Ballyhea's only reply coming from Edmund O' Regan left us 4 points clear with 10 minutes to go. But 3 late points from Johnny O' Flaherty sealed an excellent victory.
