Intermediate Liam Breathnach Cup Round 2 BALLYHEA 1-13 MALLOW 0-14 (28/03/04) Played At | Ballyhea. The intermediates made it 2 wins out of two in the Liam Breathnach cup with this hard earned victory over neighbours Mallow at Ballyhea last Sunday. Ballyhea started well but missed three goal scoring chances and at half time trailed 0-7 to 0-9. Ballyhea got a dream start to the second half with a brilliant goal from Ian Curtin but by the 35th min Mallow had edged 2 points clear 0-12 to 1-7. 3 pointed frees from Maurice O' Sullivan and an excellent long range free from Barry Coleman had us 1-12 to 0-13 ahead with 5 mins to go. Another Darran Ronan point put us 3 clear. Mallow pulled another point back with 2 mins remaining. The visitors had a good goal opportunity in the dying seconds but a combination of good defending and excellent goal keeping by Olly Morrissey kept our goal intact and give us our second victory in this competition.
