The footballers received their first defeat of the campaign when
Ballyhooly had a 6 point victory at Doneraile on Saturday night over a Ballyhea side which sorely missed 6 regulars due to injury and holidays. At half time Ballyhooly led 0-8 to 0-4. With 18 mins remaining they led 0-13 to 0-5 but a well taken goal by Ian
Curtin and a spectacular effort from Denny Mortell put just 2 points
between the sides. Ballyhooly though took over once again and 4 late points saw them deserving winners.
We still need at least a draw from our 2 remaining fixtures to be guaranteed a place in the semi-finals.
