The Final was an excellent contest between 2 very committed teams, with Ballyhea leading 0-1 o 0-0 at half-time. But 3 second half goals from John Morrissey helped Ballyhea to victory. After the game Chairman John Coleman presented the runners up medals to Castletown/Ballyagran and he thanked everyone who took part and anybody that helped out in anyway to make the competition a success. Mikey O' Sullivan then Presented the "Jack O' Sullivan" Memorial Cup to Ballyhea captain Cathal Hanley amidst excitement. Results Group 1 Ballyhea 5-2 St. Marks 1-0. At Half-time we trailed 4-5 to 2-0. Ryan Hanley goaling in the 4th and 19th minute. With James Hennessy and Kieren O' Donoghue excelling in defence, Kilworth found it hard to break through in the second half. Then a goal from James Hennessy(noe operating at full forward) in the 45th minute followed by another goal from James in the 52nd minute had the score 4-7 to 4-0 with 8 mins to go. A well taken point from William O' Keeffe and another Ryan Hanley had us down to 4 points entering injury time. But in the end time ran out and Kilworth were victorious. Fermoy with the aid of the breeze led by 0-2 to 0-0 after 28 minutes but 2 goals in 2 minutes from John Morrissey after good work by Kieren Morrissey and Dean Copps plus a point from James Hennessy saw us lead 2-1 to 0-2 at half-time. Fermoy responded with a goal early in the second-half to leave just 2 points between the sides. Dean Copps stretched our lead to 3 points before Kieren Morrissey goaled on the 38th minute to put us 2 goals clear. Fermoy once again came back with Kieren O' Donoghue clearing off the line in the 40th minute. Points from Kevin Copps and James Hennessy stretched our lead. James Fitzgibbon made a great save in the dying seconds and victory was Ballyhea's.
