Our seniors went under to the boys from Blackpool today  in the Redfm Senior hurling league. The visitors raced into an early lead scoring 3 points in the first 4 minutes . Ballyhea settled and led by 7 points to 5 at the end of the first quarter . David O’Riordan did well to deny the Glen a goal but they went on to fire over 7 points to our 3 in the second quarter before Ballyhea were awarded a penalty for a foul on Mikey Mortell.  Pa O’Callaghan duly crashed crashed the resultant penalty to the roof of the net . The Glen replied with a point to leave the sides level at the break 1-10 to 0-13. Points from Pa and John Morrissey early in the second half put us back in the lead but the Glen found their rhythm and by the 3/4 stage led 0-18 to 1-13. With 10 minutes remaining 3 points still separated the sides but with the Glen outscoring us 4-1 in the final minutes they secured a six point victory.
