Our under 21 hurlers went under to Kilshannig in the North Cork final at a well prepared Churchtown pitch last Friday evening . Kilshannig who had already won the county u21 B football title got off to a flying start . The winners led 2-8 to 0-8 after 20 mins before luke Crowley set up Tom Hanley for a well taken goal . Ballyhea battled bravely and Eugene o Leary struck to net with a quickly taken free which deceived the Kilshannig rear guard , to leave the sides level 2-10 each after a lively half an hour of hurling . The sides exchanged 3 points each early in the second half but gradually Kilshannig started to wear down the over worked Ballyhea defence . With 15 mins remains it was 2-20 to 2-14. The winners created a brilliant goal with ten minutes to go and there was no way back for Ballyhea .
