The Juniors travelled to Mourneabbey to take on the home side on Sunday evening in round 7 of the league. Clyda had the backing of a strong breeze in the opening half and led by 1-3 to 0-2 after 10 minutes. Ryan Hanley's free taking kept us in touch and the sides were back on level terms by the 18th minute. It looked as though it would pan out to be an even contest at the stage but Clyda hit a purple patch in the final 10 minutes of the half notching up 1-6 without reply to open up an interval lead of 2-9 to 0-6. Ballyhea needed to start quickly with the breeze on the resumption but it was Clyda who hit the crucial 3rd goal midway through the half to open up a commanding lead. Ballyhea, despite being a man down, kept battling away and had points from play from Liam Barrett, Stephen Dennehy and Niall Crowley but Clyda ran out deserving winners.
