The Juniors played host to Kilworth on Saturday evening in round 8 of the league. Kilworth, with wind advantage, had the better of the exchanges early on and opened up a 1-6 to 0-3 advantage after 20 minutes. We had plenty of possession in the opening half but were undone by some misplaced passes and wayward shooting in the tricky conditions, however a goal from Jonathan O Sullivan late in the half kept us in touch as we trailed 1-8 to 1-3 at half time. Ballyhea improved significantly on the restart and looked to be in control after Diarmuid O Shaughnessy added a second goal to put us 2-11 to 1-8 ahead by the 45th minute. Eamon Morrissey was unfortunate not to add a third goal shortly after, before Kilworth turned the game on it's head with two goals in a minute to draw level. We finished the stronger in the closing 10 minutes outscoring Kilworth by six points to one to put us in with a good chance of reaching the league semi final.
