Our u21's lost out to Fermoy in Kildorrery last Wednesday evening . We got off to a flying start with a long range point from Luke Hanley. After 16 minutes we led 0-5 to 0-4 , our scores coming from frees Jonathon McCarthy (2), Dean Copps (1) and a fine score from play by Eugene O'Leary . Thirteen minutes before half time Eugene was fouled inside the square but the resultant penalty from Mikey Browne was saved . We added 3 more points before the break to lead 0-8 to 0-5. By the 40th minute we still led 0-10 to 0-8 , with points from Dean Copps and Adam Finnegan. Although Mikey Browne had to be alert to deny Fermoy a certain goal in the 36th minute . Dean Copps pointed a free with 19 minutes remaining to put us 3 ahead again . But by the 50th minute the sides were level 0-12 each as Fermoy gradually got a grip on the game. Scoring 1-4 without reply in the final 10 minutes Fermoy advanced to the semi final while a clash versus Mallow awaits us.
