Our seniors bowed out of the league today going under to Blackrock at Glanworth in the quarter final . The Rockies started well and led 2-5 to 0-3 after 15 minutes . By half time we trailed 2-11 to 0-7. Straight from the throw in for the second half Blackrock added a third goal . Ballyhea though kept battling away and aided by a John Morrissey goal in the 41st minute and by the end of the third quarter we trailed 3-11 to 1-11. With 7 minutes remaining just 4 points separated the sides . Ballyhea tried hard for a second goal but found the Rockies net minder in terrific form . The city side added two late points to secure the victory and a semi final date with Erins Own.
