Ballyhea's recent good league form continued today with this win at home to Youghal. We started well with 3 early frees from Pa O'Callaghan but Youghal stayed in touch and at the end of the first quarter the sides were level 0-6 each.Gavin Morrissey then put Ballyhea ahead before Brendan Ring was the quickest to react to pull first time to the net after the ball hit the post to put the visitors ahead for the first time. By half time we were level again 0-13 to 1-10 helped by 2 points each from Maurice O'Sullivan and Pa O'Callaghan. The turning point in the game came in the 41st minute when Maurice O'Sullivan goaled at the second attempt after good work by John Morrissey. With ten minutes remaining we still led by 3 points , 1-18 to 1-15 with points coming from Pa O'Callaghan, John and Gavin Morrissey. With 3 minutes to go the game was killed off when good play from Maurice O'Sullivan and Daniel Relihan set up Pa O'Callaghan who finished to the net brilliantly. Ballyhea have now 4 wins from 6 in the league and with a number of games pencilled in before the championship , will hope to keep this run going.
