Despite racing into an early 1-5 to 0-1 lead after 13 minutes Ballyhea lost out to Ballinhassig in the County Intermediate league today as the weeks celebrations took their toll. Pa O'Callaghan struck for an early goal after being set up by Neil Ronan. But by half time the blues had gone into a 2-6 to 1-6 lead . Kieran Morrissey netted Ballyhea's second in the 35th minute after a fine run from Pa O'Callaghan. But Ballyhea still trailed 2-9 to 2-6 after 40 minutes. Ballinhassig though finished stronger to run out comfortable winners. Scorers: Pa O'Callaghan 1-3 (0-2 fr), Neil Ronan 0-5 ( 0-2 fr), Kieran Morrissey 1-0.
