Ballyhea sealed victory with an awesome last ten minutes in the thrilling TSB Cork SHC tie in Fermoy on Sunday

With defeat looming, Ballyhea selectors put Neil Ronan into full forward and moved his underrated cousin Ian out to wing forward. Neil scored a goal just ten seconds after the move and added another to clinch the victory. Ian chipped in with two late points. The last ten minutes belonged to brothers Darren and Neil and cousin Ian. An impressive display from Aidan O Connor throughout the whole game also deserves mentioning

Midleton responded well to the first Ballyhea goal by going into the lead again through a great point by corner forward John Moynihan but there was no recovering from the secong goal

Up to the closing stages Midleton were in reasonable control of the game, enjoying a good period in particular in the last ten minutes after half time when they led by six points 1-13 to 0-10

It was the O'Brien brothers Willie and Davy who shone for Midleton. The game was only a minute old when Davy first timed the ball over the bar for the opening score. Both players grabbed two points each in the opening half and later Willie centered to his brother for a brilliant goal which seemed to set Midleton up for the win

Backed by the breeze, they made the early running and frees from Micky O' Connell and John moynihan had them 0-4 to 0-1 after ten minutes

Then the two Ronans were moved and Ballyhea's forward line clicked. Still Midleton came back fighting with Moynihan and a Mickey O' Connell free edging them two in front

But there was no stopping the Ballyhea steamroller after Neil Ronan followed up Darren's blocked shot to the net.
